Top hat and tails: wedding attire
The only person who doesn't have to worry about what to wear to a wedding is the Vicar! For everyone else it's an issue!
The prefect wedding dress
For the bride to be the pre-planning needs to start months in advance. The big search for 'the dress' can be stressful so start looking early to pre empt any last minute rushes. Use wedding magazines to give you tips on currents trends and style ideas. The internet is a fantastic tool when searching for wedding dresses. You can browse thousands of designs online, compare prices and even read reviews of dresses/designers. With access to the internet it is possible to order dresses from overseas - although you will need to allow plenty of time for delivery.
Searching for your perfect dress is also a great way to have a very girly day out. Visit a swanky bridal shop with your girlfriends and enjoy a class of champagne whilst you and your bridesmaids try on dresses. This is also a great way to introduce your mother and your future mother in law, it will make them both feel part of the wedding plans.
Well groomed
All eyes may be initially on the bride, but the groom's attire is also very important. If you are hiring morning suits this does need to be booked months in advance - especially if you are tying the knot in the busy summer months. The groom will need to get the best man, ushers, page boy and father of the bride organised for fittings. If the bride and groom are jetting off on honeymoon just after the wedding then someone will need to be nominated to take back all the hired goods. Choice is huge of the groom and 'his' entourage. As well as the traditional morning suit there are many other options available, such as DJ's and smart suits. Waistcoats are available in many couloirs and materials, enabling you to match your wedding couloirs/theme with the suits.
The most important?
Once the immediate wedding party is fully clad then it is time to move on to the mother of the bride. All parents will be wanting to look their best on this occasion and the mother of the bride will defiantly be getting a lot of attention on the day. There are many companies that solely sell 'mother of the bride' outfits and will offer plenty of ideas on what to wear. Again, some of the more exclusive boutiques will give mum a glass of champagne to sooth away any stress!
