Getting to and from Prague's Airport

Prague airport is situated approx 17kms from the city center. This one airport handles all scheduled, charter and low cost airlines. There are plenty of bargain flight prices to be had with all the airlines competing for customers on this very busy route.

And if you really want to go it alone..

Bus

Two bus services run regularly from the airport into the town centre. Journey time is around 40 minutes. Bus stops can be found outside the arrivals hall. Services run roughly every half hour.

Taxi

Outside the arrivals hall you will also find many taxis, just waiting to take you into town. In the past Prague’s taxi drivers have received a lot of bad press. Taxi drivers where trying to get away with charging tourists hire fares into the city centre. Prague authorities are now clamping down on this behaviour.

In order to make sure you are travelling in a licensed taxi make sure the vehicle has a yellow roof lamp with the word taxi in black letters. Licensed vehicles should also have their companies name, license number and tariffs printed on both front doors. If unsure check the rate before starting your journey.
