Getting to and from Berlins Airports

Berlin is easy to get to from its three airports either by public transport or a prearranged coach transfer, taxi or small minibus to take you and your party into Berlin.

And if you really want to go it alone.. Berlin has 3 main airports Tegel, Schonefeld and Templehof. Templehof airport is now mainly used for domestic flights and small international aircraft. Tegel is mainly used by the scheduled airlines and Schonefeld (a little further out of town) by the charter / low cost carriers

Tegel Airport

From Tegel airport you can catch the Jet Express bus into the Mitte suburb of Berlin. The journey takes approx 20-30 minutes. You can also take a taxi from outside the terminal building - be sure to check the approximate cost of the journey before getting in.

Schonefeld Airport

Schonefeld airport is used by many of the low cost carriers. Out of all three airports this one is furthest from the city centre, although a good train link does operate. From the terminal building you need to catch the regular shuttle bus to the train station. From here trains regularly run into Zoo station in central Berlin, journey time is approx 30 minutes.

You can also take the airport express bus service from Schonefeld airport to the Ku'Damm - which takes approx 30 minutes. Again, taxi ranks can be found outside the terminal building.
