Clubbing Benidorm style: Ibiza’s closet Spanish club rival

Benidorm can be split into three main clubbing areas. The Benidorm club/pub strip on the Avenue de Mallorca, the seafront promenade area in between Ave Mallorca and the Old Town, and last but not least the superclubs which can be found on the edge of Town.

Ave de Mallorca

Typical of your usual resort style strip similar to that of San Antonio, Kavos and the square at Ayia Napa, the Ave Mallorca houses pub-club style venues with small - medium capacity, heaving in the summer months with the resorts turnout.

Judge Jules at the KM Benidorm July 2004 Free shots, great tunes and a great party. Expect no more and no less. Look out for names such as Champions bar, a know daytime hangout with live football and an evening dance night as well as many other great bars in Benidorm. Youll also come accross the Hippodrome and Lennons, known for great tunes and regular DJs.

The Promenade & Old Town

Two good clubs to check out here, but first imagine the setting. The sun sets over the sea to the right when looking out from the bars of the beachfront. Summer months are absolutely heaving with day drinkers, sun worshippers and early evening party animals.

Its the usual Benidorm bar club style though has a cool dance floor, great tunes and a capacity for 1000 ravers. Check out your information here on the KM sister club, KM Disco. Penelopes is right next door and has served regular nights since way back at the end of the 1980's. And a walk into the Old Twin brings a maze of small bars and clubs and Tapas bars, the type you will not find in the centre of Levante, brit-style entertainment.

Benidorm Super clubs

Those of you into your Ibiza dance clubs will feel right at home here. Expect regular parties and theme nights with occasional appearances from some of Europe top dance promoters such as Manumission and Gods Kitchen. Set slightly out of the centre on the Alicante-Valencia road, KM 122 Bendorm its a bit too far to walk, though check out local bars like the KM Playa for information on tickets including transport. (Or a short taxi will do it).

Big brother to the KM Plaza, the KM Disco rocks every night in high season with regular parties and theme nights including Manumission-style erotic nights (strip tease, topless shows and live sex on the stage) as well as your typical hard clubbing nights featuring top name such as Judge Jules.

The KM has a capacity for 5000 people and a rocking atmosphere with amazing light show. Open all weekends in the summer months and every night in high season.

Pacha club Benidorm KU, Pacha, Space and Penelopes
Most other clubs on this strip offer pretty much the same as the KM with top nights and big parties, large dancefloors. Pacha is ever popular living off its big name in Ibiza as well as the KU club, fantastically furnished with an outside garden area and pool.
