A guide to Benidorm

Two great beaches sandwich a pretty and surprising Old Town - not what you would expect in this rowdy resort. So three great areas; Levante Beach, the Old Town and Poniente Beach.

Benidorm - Levante Beach area

Levante Beach is where you will find all the action. It's a very popular stretch of fine sandy beach. In the summer season it can get very, very busy. In short it's the place to see and be seen. It has a young vibe with energetic watersports to match!

Levante is backed with typical Benidorm restaurants and bars. Here you can find the perfect watering hole to enjoy a sun downer or two. This part of Benidorm really has everything a holidaymaker needs from beach front bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and souvenir shops galore.

It's around this area that you can find the infamous 'Egg and Bacon Alley' - you can actually get a full English breakfast for as little as 1 Euro.. a perfect way to cure a holiday hangover!

Benidorm - Old Town

The Old Town is situated at the far end of Levante Beach. It is a maze of cobbled streets, full of Spanish Tapas restaurants and tiny English pubs. The best way to explore this area is quite simply to get lost!

There are some superb restaurants to choose from, offering traditional Spanish delicacies. At weekends this locals join the tourists, enjoying an evening stroll before dining. The Placa Del Castel offers superb views of Benidorms beaches. This area is popular with artists offering tourists caricatures and souvenir trinkets.

The choice of British Pubs in this area is staggering, all offering the British tourist a home form home pub atmosphere - including many British ales and lagers on tap.

Benidorm - Poniente Beach

Beyond the Old Town is Poniente Beach, this is favoured by families and the locals. It has a more chilled atmosphere than Levante - and in peak season more personnel legroom! The beach tends to be less crowded than Levante beach. The sandy beach slopes gently into the shallow waters making it perfect for swimming.

Poniente Beach along with Levente Beach is cleaned nightly giving tourists perfectly groomed golden beaches every morning.

Once in Benidorm the best form of transport is by foot, that way you can check out the bars and restaurants on the way to the beach!
