Benalmadena's restaurants and nightlife
The Costa del Sol has always been a hit when it comes to nightlife. The Spanish nights start late and generally finish when the sun comes up. Benalmadena is no exception to this rule – a lively resort full of fun.
RestaurantsBenalmadena's marina has lots of restaurants on offers, most with beautiful waterside views. This area really does look beautiful at night creating a fantastic atmosphere in which to dine. You can find plenty of Tapas restaurants in the port area. Great for getting a taste of the regional cuisine. You can dine on the floating restaurant Mississippi Willow. This New Orleans steamer was actually bought over America and now hosts regular live music acts and shows. At Sala Fortuna you can get a real taste of Andulucian entertainment with a fantastic flamenco show.
BarsThe well known Plaza Sol y Mar (24 hour square, for its late opening bars) is a big area for nightlife and is home to Mango's Club. What this venue lacks in space it makes up for in atmosphere. The crowd are quite young and the music very loud. During the summer months it regularly stays open until 7am! For a slightly more upmarket venue head to the Marina. Here a beer with a sea view can cost a little more but the ambience is worth it. Many bars and clubs are located in this area. Try La Cubana if Salsa if this is your thing or the Aqua Club with its large outdoor dance area (dress code is smart here).
