Getting from Barcelonas Aiport into the City

Barcelona's main airport is situated only 12km's south west of the city centre. Numerous transfer options are available to you, enabling you to get from the tarmac to Barcelona's fantastic city centre within an hour of landing.

Taxis

Barcelona has three airport terminals; all are connected by a walkway giving easy access to all transport links. Taxis ranks can be found outside each terminal. Vehicles will have a green light displaying availability. The journey into the city centre can be made in about 25 minutes. Although this does depend on the traffic - if you are approaching the city during the rush hour expect a longer transit time.

Bus

The Aerobus (A1) departs from the front of all terminals, its finale destination being Placa de Catalunya. Journey time is again approx 30 minutes (allow a longer transfer time during rush hour). Some buses also make a stop at the Plaza Espanya. Check on board for return schedules times for your return journey.

Train

You can take the train from Barcelona's airport straight into the heart of the city centre. The railway station is linked to the airport by a travelator (between terminals A and B). Trains make stops at the following city centre stations; Saints-Estacio, Placa Catalunya, Clot Arago and Arc de Triomf. From here you can continue your journey to your hotel by Metro. Journey time into the city centre is approx 18 minutes.

Car Hire

There are plenty of companies offering car hire from Barcelona airport. Offices can be found on the lower floors of terminals B and C.
