And if you really want to go it alone..

Trains

Trains run directly from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam’s Central Station. The train station is located underneath the airport and is well sign posted from the arrivals hall. Trains run frequently and the journey time is approx 15-20 minutes. Trains run late and early – ideal for those awkward flight timings.

Bus & car

A regular bus service runs from the airport into the centre of town. Journey time varies according to individual routes. Taxis can be found outside the terminal and are plentiful all day long.

Hiring a car from Schiphol airport is easy as is getting into the centre. Although finding a car parking space in the city centre is a much tougher task! If you are spending your time only in Amsterdam we would recommend seeking alternative an alternative transport method.
