Amsterdam restaurants
Food may not be the first thing that comes to mind about Amsterdam, but you will be surprised. Whatever your appetite or budget you will be well feed here – from internationally renowned eateries to fast food outlets Amsterdam has everything covered.
Restaurants in AmsterdamWe have compiled a list of some of our favourites to help you choose. Traditionally restaurants used to close at around 10pm - don’t fear though if you get the late night munchies, today there are plenty of options open late.
Although you could stay around the Dam area of Amsterdam your entire trip and still have a wide choice of venues, try to get out to the less touristy areas for a real touch of Dutch cuisine. And if you would like assistance we can help you to prebook restaurant packages. Prices range from 15 Euros to 50 Euros per person and can include a few extras if you so desire.Suggestions for your tripTo eat like a real man try Gauchos steakhouse (Rembrandtplein). Huge steaks, ribs and chicken dishes that could feed a small family for a week!
Try the Dutch-Indo restaurant Blue Pepper (Leidseplein). Here you will find traditional dishes alongside more contemporary choices.
No visit to Holland is complete without enjoying a pancake. Try The Pancake Bakery (Prinsengracht nr Fredericksplein) who claim to have the best pancakes in town. Great selection.
Splash the cash at the Okura Hotel’s Teppanyaki restaurant. A show in itself as you watch you meal being created at your table. For those looking for a real treat this comes heavily recommended.
Get nostalgic at the Café American (Hotel American). An art deco grand café full of chandeliers and character.
Maoz Falafel bars are scattered around town and provide a filling lunch whilst on the go.
Garys late night café serves bagels and muffins until 4am on a sat/sun (Montplein). Great for late night munchies. Though of course, this city is heaving with restaurants and you just need to be able to walk, to find one.
