Clubbing in Amsterdam - every night feels like a Saturday night!
Amsterdam’s reputation for its clubs is legendary with regular appearances from some of Europe’s best DJ’s. You can party here 24 hours a day. Choice is not an issue, but if you are travelling in a group getting into some of these clubs can be tricky.
Top tips for a successful entrance!Appearance is everything – getting rid of the trainers and baseball caps is a good start.Try arriving early when the door policy may be a little more relaxed, around 10pm.Don’t approach in large groups – split up.Act sober! Although Amsterdam appears to have a very relaxed approach to partying, swaying and vomiting means an early exit.Remember doorman in Amsterdam have been dealing with English stag groups for years and no generally means no!Top clubs!Escape club (Rembrandtplein) – One of Amsterdam’s biggest club venues, holds over 2000. Hosts great nights with top international DJ’s.
Hotel Arena club (Oosterpark) – Housed in a former chapel, great atmosphere with good DJ line up.
Back Door (Soul Kitchen, Rembrandtplein) – 60’s and 70’s music, very Austin Powers. Good fun night out.
Club Paradiso (Leidseplein) – Varied music line up. Paradisco on Saturday nights with international DJ’s. Great live music venue.
